@brennyn Good idea. (Although some help can spoil almost anything, so be a little careful who you let loose in your kitchen or elsewhere.) (And not all of them are toddlers…)
Man I love it! I’m all about it. Love having people over to hang and eat fun tasty food. Used to do five to six course dinners all the time. More before the kiddos. Need to set up another one sometimes soon. It just fills my bucket.
Can’t do it in advance if you like using fresh and tasty food. But I never get too complicated. Three courses and a salad are my limit. (my wife will make the dessert)
But my family has been preparing food professionally for 4 generations.
That’s what the help is for.
@yakkoTDI there’s a restauranteur saying “the owner does not chop the cabbage”
They do when they don’t hire enough staff.
Personally this is also why I like cooking for myself: all the tedium makes the meal taste better (and not like I’ve offloaded responsibility).
This is why God invented catering.
@Pavlov Amen
Remind me why I would ever host any form of party?
@xobzoo that’s what I was wondering.
Host people that are willing to help out. “Too many cooks spoil the broth” is only a thing if you are thinking too hard.

Dealing with a large group of people at once? That’s a no.
